>IENA CELEBRATES NURSING:

IENA members joined in celebrating the WSNA Centennial in Seattle and also celebrated "Pride In Nursing" at Fort Mukogawa in Spokane in May 2008. Click here to view pictures from the events.

 


 

>IENA ANNUAL EVENT:

This year's spring event was titled Nurses Night Out R&R, Rewards and Recognition. It was held April 15th at Luigi's in Spokane. Click here to read more in the June 2008 Newsletter.

Beginning with the June 2008 newsletter we will add two member names in the content. Spot your name and win a gift card. >POSITION PAPER:

The IENA now has available a "Position Paper" on Violence in the Workplace put together by WSNA. To request a copy, contact 328-8288.

 


 

>LEGISLATIVE DAY 2008:

>WCN NURSE CAMPS 2008:

>NEW IENA OFFICE HOURS

As of October 1, 2007 the IENA Office hours have changed to:

 


 

>GOVERNOR'S HEALTH BOWL

The Governor’s Health Bowl was held on September 18, 2007 at the Clock Tower in Riverfront Park in Spokane. Free cholesterol and glucose screenings were provided by CHER. Several other organizations also had booths, making the event a mini-health fair. The Mayor spoke at the gathering as well. WSU Spokane was involved, as was the City, School District, and several regional offices of state agencies.

 


 

>RETIREMENT PARTY

A retirement party was held for Joan Garner MN, RN, WSNA Director of Nursing Practice & Education (14 years). The event was celebrated on September 11, 2007 at Salty's Restaurant in Seattle.

 


 

>SPRING GALA 2007

The Spring Gala 2007 was held on April 17, 2007 at the Red Lion River Inn in Spokane. Nursing Excellence Awards went to Janet Toone for Lifetime Achievement, and Debbie Brinker for Nursing Leadership. Additionally, scholarships were awarded to Michele Wolf and Jana Gardner. Karen Wright provided a motivational talk that challenged us all to reach below the surface, to recognize, value and improve our responses to life happenings.
