IENA BOARD MEMBER BIOGRAPHIES:
Louanne E. Hausmann, RN, ADN, BSN, MA
Louanne has been a member of the Inland Empire Board of Directors for 1 1/2 years, serving as a Director-at-Large and as Secretary.
After graduating from Central Texas College in 1974, Louanne earned her BSN from Incarnate Word College and her MA from Midwestern State University. She was commissioned in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps in 1982 and retired from the same in 1999. Presently, she is the nursing supervisor at the Spokane VAMC where she has been employed since November 1999.
Louanne is President of the Inland Northwest Chapter of AACN, a member of NOVA (Nurses Organization of the Veterans Administration), and a member of the Society of Air Force Nurses.
Louanne was born in Middlefield, MA, but as a military brat she moved constantly. Her official home of record is San Antonio, Texas. She considers herself a Spokanite now, having lived here for twelve years. She and her spouse John have four children: Christina (Dallas, TX), Jennifer (Spokane), Lisa (Spokane) and Jake (USMC, Camp Pendleton, CA). They also have foreign exchange "children" in Norway, Germany, Holland, and Sweden. She is the adoring grandmother of Alaura (4) and Moira (16 months).
