IENA Committees

The following committees are always looking for dedicated members who are interested in being involved for a limited amount of time in IENA functions.

 

COMMITTEES

 

Annual Nurses Celebration/Awards Ceremony Committee

This event is generally held in May of each year; committee meets from January until the night of the event.

 

Scholarship/Awards Committee

Works in conjunction with the Nurses Celebration/Awards Ceremony. This committee usually meets 2-3 times before the event to choose the award and scholarship winners from a list of applicants.

 

Finance/Investment Committee

Meets on an as-needed basis to review the financial stability and investments of the association and make recommendations to the board for changes in the budget, investments, recording of assets, etc.

 

Headquarters Committee

This committee meets on an as-needed basis and is responsible for overseeing functions of the IENA office, including office policies and procedures and the Administrative Secretary.

 

Nominations Committee

This committee meets in January to begin compiling a list of candidates to fill upcoming vacant board positions. The Nominations Committee works with the Administrative Secretary to finalize the ballot and makes arrangements to count ballots when returned. The committee functions until elections are completed (date determined by the board).

 

Legislative Reception Committee

This committee works from June until October to plan this event.
